The main areas of research in astrophysics lie in:
- Big Bang nucleosynthesis, and the study of the light element abundaces through Li7
- Cosmic-ray nucleosynthesis and the study of the Li, Be and B isotopes
- Dark matter, in particular supersymmetric candidates for dark matter
- Neutrinos in astrophysics and cosmology
- The possibility of time-varying fundamental constraints
During 2006-2007 FTPI hosted two speakers as part of the Astrophysics and Cosmology Seminar series of the School of Physics and Astronomy.
In addition, FTPI hosted the third international workshop "The Dark Side of the Universe 2007," held June 5-10.
