Registration opens for "Neutrino Frontiers," to be held Oct. 23-26, 2008

The Fine Theoretical Physics Institute and the Cosmology Group in the School of Physics and Astronomy are pleased to announce the upcoming workshop "Neutrino Frontiers," to be held October 23-26, 2008. Registration is now open.

This workshop will bring together both theorists and experimentalists with a wide range of expertise to discuss the current status of research on properties of neutrinos, their effects on cosmological and astrophysical processes, and the interplay between theory and ongoing and future experiments.

Topics to be covered include:
- Current understanding of neutrino properties
- CMB, large-scale structure, and neutrino mass
- Big bang nucleosynthesis and neutrinos
- Leptogenesis
- Neutrino processes in supernovae
- Astrophysical neutrinos and their detection
- Neutrino oscillation experiments
- Neutrinoless double beta-decay experiments
- Next generation of neutrino detectors

By bringing together theorists and experimentalists from diverse subfields we are hoping to stimulate discussion and inspire forward-looking research that will produce a comprehensive picture of the different aspects of neutrino physics and astrophysics.

As participation is by invitation only, please register at the workshop website by July 31, 2008. We welcome and encourage participation by graduate students.
