October 23 to 26, 2008
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA
The workshop will be held at the Radisson University Hotel, Minneapolis, MN, on the East Bank Campus of the University of Minnesota
Getting from the Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) Airport to Campus:
Ground transportation information provided by the MSP airport:
http://www.mspairport.com/msp/Ground_Transportation/default.aspx
Shuttle service, SuperShuttle, is available on the ground transportation level of the airport, running every half hour from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The cost of a one-way trip from/to the airport by shuttle is usually around $16. It is also possible to purchase a round-trip fare upon arrival.
*Reservations for the return trip to the airport must be made 24 hours in advance of travel by calling 1-800-BLUE-VAN.*
Taxi service is also available to and from the airport. Travel time from the airport to the hotels by taxi is 20-25 minutes and the average cost is $30-$40.
Light rail is available to and from both terminals through Metro Transit. It may be simpler to travel by taxi or shuttle when arriving, as you will need to make a bus transfer if you take the light rail. From the Metrodome light rail station, bus numbers 16 and 50 serve the University.
Car rental is not necessary or even very practical for workshop participants staying at hotels near campus. Parking is limited and can be expensive, and buses and shuttles are readily available.
